I have a little family that disappears after 1861 but I have just noticed an incoming voyage from South Africa and I am wondering if emigration could be the reason.
This is what I have
Thomas Fricker b 1830 Bradford on Avon, Wilts
1841 Bradford on Avon
1860 birth of Tom Peter Vezey Fricker in City of London
1861 1 Dean Court(?), St Andrew Holborn, with Tom and wife Catherine
Then possibly in 1881 b wilts, although unmarried, in Kensington visiting the Gollar family
This could be Tom PV Fricker
incoming passenger lists 1926 - Thomas Fricker age 66, to 9 Russell Rd, Liverpool from South Africa
wife Elizabeth age 66
Lilian age 26
With middle names like he has, you would think there would be more records of Tom, but I have not found any, so that is what makes me wonder about South Africa. Would anyone be able to see if Thomas and his family emigrated to South Africa after 1861?

Thank you Geneius, those other Vezey Frickers are all relations, aunts uncles and cousins of the Thomases I am looking for. They liked to name their children after brothers and sisters.
Sue, thanks for that info, I shall have a look at those sites.

Just seen that reference to 1871. Thank you Geneius.
Thomas is written and transcribed as Tucker, but everything else is right. How strange that he should be visiting the same family in 2 consecutive censuses, on his own
