Hi,
I'm trying to locate whichever news papers might have been available in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire, Scotland.
William Craig died 1899 in Kilmaurs - his death record states that he had "Died along the highway between Crosshouse and Kelk Place, Kilmausr, Ayrshire, Scotland" - I'm hoping to be able to find more detail.
Any ideas?
THanks!
Sara

I've had a really good look around but there's no good list as far as I can see. Your best bet is probably to contact The Dick Institute in Kilmarnock and ask them as they appear to have a section dealing with Local and Family History.
Their contact details are at: east-ayrshire.gov.uk/comser/viewrecord.asp?UIN=56 (put www in front).
Best of luck!

I see that The Dick Institute holds local newspapers from 1834 so that should definitely be your first port of call.
