    Default Piesley - Kingston

    Hi

Can anyone look on the 1901 census for me. I have been searching for the Piesleys only to be told that they were put on the census as Presley ! There should be Walter, Mary Ann & family. I would be very grateful if you could let me know the children's details as well & the address.

    Many Thanks

That is really kind of you. Thanks.
Mary Ann was married before and I was wondering if there was any mention of Alice White born 1884, should make her abt 17 and Henry William White born 1872, should make him 29, (probably not in his case, as long gone from home). But another child has turned up. I didn't know about Willie Piesley. That would make him her 12th child !

    Hi Jan,

Pretty common names but if you can provide a place of birth happy to look for you.

    Default Piesley

    Hi

Henry William White may well have been born in Horsley or Send & Ripley in 1872. He is quite a mystery as Mary Ann had him seven years before she married Richard White, so he could be under the surname of White, Piesley or Fagence, (which was her maiden name).

Alice White was born in 1884 in Kingston after Richard White died. Mary Ann was to marry the chap next door in 1885,(Walter Piesley) who's wife died around the same time as Mary Ann's husband, abt 1881. I presume Alice was Walter's daughter.

Walter also had two children a Charles Piesley born 1869, (not to be confused with the Charles Piesley in the census, he was born Charles White or Fagence in 1876 in Send & Ripley, before Mary Ann married Richard White), and a Susan Piesley born 1872 both born in Kingston I think or Richmond/Hampton.

What a confusing family no wonder I get lost with them all !

    Alice White

I got carried away here thinking I was going to find her so put it in a separate post.

Sorry no joy in 1901 under White or Piesely/Presely or even Fagence.

No joy for either of these in 1901 I am afraid.

    Happy hunting,
