Yesterday, my wife was a "happy lady" as Swansea beat Reading and for the 1st time in 28 years will now join the 'top-flight' league next year.
Today, before leaving for work, she 'suggested' that, as I hadn't looked at her family this month, now would be a good time. To keep the mood going, I agreed!!
That is turning out to be a headache. I need help from above, possibly from the's
More information shortly.

The problems I am having, I think need to be addressed specifically, rather than jumping about all over the place, so if we are in agreement here is the 1st question:
Where were my wife's 2X great grandparents in 1851?
James Morgans aged 27 a bachelor, married Mary Davies aged 28 a spinster, in Narbeth in 1849. He was an Agricultural labourer. I cannot locate them in 1851 [neither on A or FMP].

Yes, Richard. My chap was an Ag. Lab. when he married. In both '61 and '71 he was still an Ag. Lab. and by the late '70s was a Tenant Farmer of 32 acres until his death in 1903.
As well, both he and Mary were born in Pembrokeshire.

Hi Colin
Could you give us the census references for later sightings of James & Mary, please?
Thanks!

Colin
Can you choose an easy name to search for a change or do you want everyone to have a headache ?
Is it possible that there is an error with the marriage and later than 1851 and before 1853.
There is a possible James in 1851 that is still with parents and farmers in the area.Last edited by Richard1955; 31-05-2011 at 6:48 PM. Reason: question

This is my family - either by birth or marriage. With the headaches I have, since I cannot eliminate my family - I feel I must share the load.
I have lots of 'easy names' to research and those I can handle.

At least, I've not asked for assistance with Jones, recently

Okay, I'll continue for a bit.
How about the marriage Dec qtr 1852 11a 953 to Mary Jinkins?

For some reason - why I don't know - I can't finf the census reference you listed.
I'll assume it says under marital status 'widower' but if the marriage to Mery Jinkins in 1852 is mine, then how can I accept Catharine's birth cert in 1853 with a mother's maiden names "DAVIES"?
Catharine was born early in 1853
