    Default victoria moss great yarmouth

Trying to find Victoria Moss b 1840 Great Yarmouth. mother Hannah Moss, no father named.
I have her on 1841 & 1851 censuses and 1871,when she is living with her mother in Jury Rd yarmouth.
I'm unable to find her after this. I've looked for marriages & deaths but come up with nothing.
    She's obviously there somewhere!
    Any help appreciated

Is she in St Pancras in 1881, as Victoria TILLETT, the wife of James TILLETT?
There is also a Sarah E MOSS in the household.

This looks rather like her marrying in 1858, at Yarmouth St Nicholas, to a mariner called William Dale.

I can see mum Hannah in 1861 living with Cassandra (now a Johnson) but I cannot see Victoria as a Dale.

As he was a mariner maybe she was off in a boat with him on census night.
If the marriage is her it is strange that by 1871 she is using the surname Moss.

Possible scenario ... the marriage to William DALE in 1858 didn't work out, for whatever reason, and Victoria returned to her mother, claiming spinsterhood in 1871.

    Meanwhile in London ...

Ages are a bit out, but it might be worth considering?

It might well be worth considering, I'd be quite excited if they were mine.

This Sarah E MOSS may be Victoria's niece, daughter of her brother Henry MOSS and his wife Amy.

    From FamilySearch ...
    Sarah Ellen Moss
baptised 6 May 1863, Yarmouth, Norfolk
    father's name: Henry Moss
    mother's name: Amy
    source film number:1526648

In 1871 the family is in Jury Street, Great Yarmouth, with Sarah Ellen perhaps recorded as Nelly aged 8.

    So would I.

According to the TNA currency converter, in 1890 £2,874 2s 6d would have the same spending worth of today's £172,131.35

The index to Death Duty Registers shows that duty was paid in relation to the will of Victoria TILLETT of Southtown in 1900.

Unfortunately, 1900 is one of the years missing from the probate calendar as rendered by Ancestry, so it doesn't show up there.

A copy of the will can be obtained from the probate registry for £5.00. Details here.
