Hi there, can't help, but my two cents for what it's worth... does the picture caption say railway station ? Many of these Honours Boards are in country halls and list men that served. Men killed in action or sometimes described as ultimate sacrifice are often designated with an asterisk. I am thinking this is a list of NZ Rail employees that served from a particular area. This looks like a family group in the same hall as the reception. The photo edge looks 1960's. The car is a late 40's to 50's but I think the photo is '60's. Typical farm house with water caught from roof and a stock proof fence.
Hunterville is on the main trunk rail line which goes north to Taihape. The is a road link to Hunterville from Wanganui.
    Cheers.

Wow, now I look like a clown ! I never noticed the 3 pages of posts that I should have read first ! Great result !

It's wonderful that you found your New Zealand cousins. I know that you have most of this information already, but in case you don't have some of the dates (marriage, death, etc) I'm going to post it.

Here is the tie in to your Your Great Aunt Ethel Annie Burrluck/Whiffen

Her Aunt Sarah Ann Burrluck Knight, born July 1874 in Ryarsh, Kent was married frist to James Edward Fasham in 1896. Sarah Ann and James had five children (all born in Kent area):

    (1) Daisy Stella Fasham b. 1897, married Herbert Fernly Nagel. Daisy Stella died in 1960 and is buried at Aramoho Cemetery. Herbert died in 1960, same cemetery. Daisy and Herbert immigrated to New Zealand in 1919*.

    (2) Frederick J. Fasham b. 1898 (died 1912 in Kent)

    (3) Amy Eva Fasham b. 1900. Married Henry James Thomas Facey, probably in England. He remarried (Beryl Jean Cobcroft) in 1937 in New Zealand. Amy Eva remarried to Eric Earles in 1937, in New Zealand. Amy Eva (Earles) died in 1970 and was cremated at Aramoho Cemetery. Eric died in 1979, buried at Aramoho.

    (4) Florence May Fasham b. 1902. Married William Charles Munro, 1924, in NZ. William Charles died in 1964 and was cremated at Aramoho Cemetery. Florence May died in 1993.

    (5) Emmaline Mary Fasham b. 1907. Married Raymond Manning Healey, 1937, in NZ. Raymond died in 1990. I didn't find a death on Emma.

Sarah Ann's first husband James Edward Fasham died in 1933 in Bromley, Kent. Sarah Ann must have then immigrated to New Zealand to join her daughters. In 1953 she married Robert James Buxton in New Zealand. Sarah Ann (Ju) died in 1959 and Robert in 1960. Both in Aramoho Cemetery.

You can search and view the records for Aramoho cemetery at http://www.wanganui.govt.nz/Cemeteries/index.aspx

Thank you so much for the information. Some I did know, mainly birth and marriages. I haven't been able to get into New Zealand records due to the fact of finances. Thank you I will now add them to my tree and perhaps pass some information to my new found cousins in New Zealand who didn't know when or where of if Sarah married. We know it had to be after James Fasham died as they didn't divorce.
I have had contact with my new cousin even on the telephone. Perhaps one day I will manage to get out there and visit them.
    regards
    Angie
