Had some real trouble finding my paternal Grt-Grt-Grt Grandfather and family in the 1861 Census. It's taken so many hours of random searches but I think I've finally found them!
Here he is along with my 1yr old Grt-Grt Grandmother Kate/Katherine in 1871
This is them by the looks of it - they've been transcribed as DANBY rather than DAWTRY.1871 - 30 Effingham St, Rotherham.
William Dawtry - Head - Mar - 59 - Lead Chaser - Sheffield
Jane Dawtry --- Wife - Mar -- 37 --------------- Lancashire, Manchester.
George Dawtry-- Son ------- 19 - Lead Chaser - Yorks, Sheffield
William Dawtry-- Son --------17 - Brass Turner - "
Albert Dawtry -- Son --------15 - Brass Turner - "
Kate Dawtry --- Daur -------- 1 ---------------- Yorks, Rotherham (My Grt-Grt Grandmother)
I think this is also eldest daughter Selina living next door:1861 - 100 Clune Street, Sheffield
William Danby - Head - Mar - 48 - Lead Chaser - Yorks, Sheffield
Selina Danby - Wife - Mar - 46 ---------------- "

Harriet Danby - Daur - - - - - 3 - - - - - - - - - - - - - "
Arthur Dawtry, aged 14, is staying (about a mile away according to Google Maps) with Uncle and Aunt - George and Harriett Frost at 166 Infirmary Road, Sheffield.101 Clune Street
Fredrick McCann - Head - Mar - 28 - Engineer...? - Notts, Worksop
Selina McCann --- Wife - Mar - 22 - - - - - - - - - Yorks, Sheffield
I had all sorts of theories going until I found them in 1861 - William running off with Jane the servant girl being one of them, since the ages matched1851 - 2 Hoyle Street, Sheffield
William Dawtry - Head - Mar - 38 - Chaser & Engraver - Yorks, Sheffield
Selina Dawtry - Wife - Mar - 35 - (?) - - - - - - - - - - - "

Jane Mosson? --- Servant - - 17 - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - IrelandIt would actually have explained the Irish accent that my Grt-Gran Peggy (daughter of Kate Dawtry) still insists that Kate had. I've never been able to find the Irish connection any other way... but now I don't know! My hunt continues!
I assume that Selina passed away between 1861 and 1870 since the kids are all living with William and Jane in 1871.

Looks good to me! Congratulations! Sometimes it's really difficult to locate them at times and then the missing piece is found.
