Here's a link to a page where you can download an MS Word file about the Fincham family:
    http://www.
    keithdrage.webspace.virginmedia.com/fincham/FINCHAM%20surname.htm

From that it seems that it was Rebecca Harwood (or Hammond) who married Grimmer Fincham. The document also gives details of a remarriage for her, to one Roper Peachey in 1889. Both marriages were at Lakenheath.

Edit: . . . but that seems to be contradicted by the 1891 census (quoted above) which shows Grimmer alive and well with a wife Rebecca.

I think in the Word document quoted in my previous post, two separate Rebeccas may have been confused. FreeBMD has a possible marriage in 1884 of a Robert Fincham and Rebecca Hammond, and the Word file has a Robert Fincham (with wife Rebecca) who died 1887. I would guess that it is Robert's widow Rebecca who married Roper Peachey in 1889.

Hi I have just registered. Joseph P Johnson is my great great grandfather and I have the census record of 1901. My great grandfather Walter Johnson took over the farm from his father. My father lived with his mother and grandparents, he spent the first years of his life at Grazemoor House.
