    Default Gardiners of Durhams

I've been able to trace my grand-fathers back to George Gardiner, born c1690, who married Ann Vicars in Stanhope, County Durham on May 2, 1715. I'm interested in chatting with all Gardiners or Gardiner relatives who date back to the Wear Valley. While I've got most of the lineage post-George and up till they sailed from Sunderland to Canada in 1817, I can't seem to find out where George came from even though I've spent about 200 pounds on a local genealogist to find out.

Hi AC in West Van, from Strawberrymivvy in Van!

I don't have Gardiners in my line, but do have connections to Stanhope, so will keep an eye out and get back in touch if I find any connections. Good luck, and welcome to the Forum
