Hi John and welcome to the family.
An unusual surname that shouldn't be too hard to research.
Have a good look round as there is plenty of interesting stuff on here.
Then post your queries and prepare for information overload.
Good luck

Welcome John.
Don't suppose you have any link to the Firmin family of Suffolk/Essex?
Mary Firmin, b 1708 Wiston, Suffolk, d 1797 Bures St Mary, Suffolk married my 6xG Grandfather, John Garrad.
I know very little about her parents and family, but I know quite a bit on her children and the Garrad line.
I haven't come across the Firmin name very often, so I just had to ask!
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I don't honestly know. Firmin is a comparatively common name in Norfolk/Suffolk/Essex. Please see my thread "FIRMIN" in the Brickwall forum.
Many thanks for your welcome.
Kind regards,
John Firmin.

Mary Firmin b c 1719 in Sudbury Suffolk married to Robert Partridge also of Sudbury Suffolk
