Default Looking for info on an Alexander Fenton

I'm trying to locate any information concerning my 5th great grandfather Alexander Fenton. The last known information i have is that he married a woman by the name of Sarah, surname unknown to me, and they had their first child Frances in 1771 which shows her birth occuring in Westminster, London. Any assistance with information on his family would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Eileen

FamilySearch shows a Frances FENTON baptised to Alexander and Sarah FENTON at St Anne Soho on 18 Aug 1771, but describes this child as male. This may be an error, and you would probably need to check the original register to confirm.

There was apparently another child Frederick baptised to this couple at the same church on 15 Oct 1773.

There are some interesting Middlesex Sessions papers on London Lives which may relate to this family. These date from June 1778. The transcript isn't too good, but an image of the original is provided.

    Could this be your man?

I should have added that the original record of the above is held at the London Metropolitan Archives, as is this record of the release on bail (MJ/SP/1778/06/034).

Boyd's Index shows a marriage for Alexander FENTON and Sarah GOLDSMITH at St Margaret Westminster in 1757.

Default Looking for information on a Alexander Fenton

I'm looking for any information that can be found on my 5th great grandfather Alexander Fenton. All I know is he was married to a woman by the name of Sarah surname unknown. They had three daughters and one son and lived in Westminister. Daughters were Francis born abt 1771, Sarah Jane born abt 1773, Charlotte born abt 1776 and their son Henry born abt 1778. Not sure where Alexander originated from or when he married Sarah.

Any information that can be provided would be ever so helpful of which I would be ever so grateful.

    Best Regards,
    Eileen

    Hello Eileen,

As this seems to be a duplicate, albeit with more information, of a post that you have already made, I have tacked it on to the existing thread.

Did you follow up the information that Kerrywood posted at #4, where a possible identity for Sarah would be the surname of GOLDSMITH?

Are there any records that indicate when and where either Alexander or Sarah were born?
