    Default ANCESTORS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Hi I’m new to family history. I am working on our family tree. I am looking for any of my husband’s ancestors from the 1900s to present with the surname Sidat

My mother in law’s name was Aisha Sidat, also known as Asoo. She was born in Johannesberg , South Africa in the 1930s. She emigrated to India as a child and then after marriage travelled to England in the late 1960s. Her mother was African and her father was Indian.

Anybody with these names in their family or anyone who can help me with my research would be greatly appreciated.

List of variances: Sidat, Seedat, Sedat

The South African National Archives (NAAIRS) has 67 hits for the name Sidat, including immigration papers.
