Have you tried Wolverhampton archives? I found a lot of info there for my family - at that time it was free, but not sure now.

    Thank you for your reply.
I am looking for (g grandfather) William Henry Walker, probably living Gordon Street/Steelhouse Lane area. He was a widower by then. His children that may have been with him could be Mary Jane; George; John; Elizabeth; Martha and Edward Ernest.
Also his other son Frederick Oliver who was married to Mary Ann and his daughter Edith at Pountney Street.
They are all descendants of William Joseph Walker and Lucy Margaret (Northwood).

Any info appreciated, as the my Walker clan had sooooo many children and most with the same first names!!!

    Thanks again

    Regards
    Magpie

Hi Magpie, as MarkJ said, you haven't given any approximate birth dates for William Henry Walker or his children. Was he born about 1850 in Shropshire? Did he also marry a Lucy?

I can see a family in the 1891 census that look like they could be yours. William Henry Walker is married to a Lucy and they have children William Henry, George Alfred, Frederick Oliver, John, Elizabeth, Martha, Edward Ernest and Edith. They are living at 32 Gordon Street, Wolverhampton. William Henry Walker is still there in 1901 with some of his children but he is a widower.

1891: RG12 Piece: 2236 Folio: 55 Page: 29 (crown copyright, care of the TNA)
1901: RG13 Piece: 2683 Folio: 84 Page: 7 (crown copyright, care of the TNA)

Is there anything specific you are wanting to find out about this family, such as census information, or BMD's or information on the children? Just so we don't duplicate information you already have.
