Can anyone shed any light on who this lady was and where she came from etc?
Isabella (at times Bella) Hardwick b Hull 1850 on census as wife of William Hardwick b Monmouth 1848
and on later one with James b Hull 1841 (looks like brother of william? Going by a census with both on explaining births in Hull and Monmouth) but living in poole dorset.
Isabella Gives Hardwick formerly Ray on birth cert for Grace her daughter b 1887 Poole Dorset.
I had previously thought Isabella may have been a Serle(because of a marriage between a Hardwick and Serle in area etc ...but have no backing for that now. Ideas welcome Plz![]()

How about this one in the 1851 census of Kingston upon Hull:

George REAY Head Mar 29 Engine Driver Northumberland Shorters Edge
Mary do Wife Mar 28 do Henton
George do Son 3 Hull
Isabella do Daur 7 months do

Can't find the family in the 1861 census so far though.

Thanks for that Janet. It seems that she disappears after that? Have had a quick look to see if her father may have died and her mother rewed but havenet been lucky as yet. She must be somewhere? I do agree your find may well be her though. Thanks
