You can get to the census image by searching for Fred Hullah born 1891. It’s the first result.

In fact by using Alfred Hullah 1901 Census they came up name spelled as "Brisson" instead of Britton living with AL'Fred' Hullah.
Thks for guidance this has been a missing link for so long!

This looks spot on as Ellen is right age and William (Forgeman) was her father on Birth Cert. Her mother Ann (nee Johnson) Hullah.
I wouldnt have found this - thankyou. I have today found Ellen Hullah in 1901 married to William Britton but then her name was spelt "Brisson" - I am beginning to think enumerators were drinking on the job.
It suprised me that Ancestry search didnt think of Hallah when I put in Hullah as a soundex similar.Anyway I feel back on the rails now.

Michael, a little tip for you when searching elusive folks on census or other resources.

Use the ? or *. Eg to search for Ann(e) Hullah: try entering Ann* which will give you results for any name starting Ann - as in Anne, Annette, Annia etc. Entering H?lla* will show all names with second vowels a,e,i,o,u, and H(aeiou)lla ending in any other letters, ie Hallam, Hillard.

Reading my message again - I didn't explain with clarity.

A * will match any number of letters, eg Har* will find Harcourt, Hargreaves, Hardy. A ? will find only one letter, eg Har? will find Hart or Hare, and H?rt will find Hart or Hurt but not Hartman, to find Hartman which may be mistranscribed, try first Har*, if no result try - H?rt*
