Hi Sheila, the floods were bad at first until they reached other places and the devastating results made the flood here look like a puddle, but as far as I know alls well again or on the mend. It has been the weirdest weather I have ever seen in this country.

I will have a look on my BMD indexes tonight when I get home from work, Its lu10am here now and I start work at noon so I will be going soon. So the name you are looking for is WELLSTEAD right? do you have anyother info, ie: first names where from, whatever would be a help. There was a few in Victoria. A Thomas William from Woolwich married in 1884 to Amelia Stewart does that ring any bells. Will have a better look tonight though when I get time.
    Cheers Tracy

    Hi Tracy

thanks for doing this for me much appreciated. They must have emmigrated to Australia in the 1920's or 30's. They went from Blandford in Dorset, they were farmers there with cattle of freisian cows. Hope this will help a bit more.

I have checked outgoing shipping lists from the U.K. to Aust but can find nothing definite in your time frame. Do you have more information such as year of birth, first names etc. If any of the people you are interested in could still be alive please do not post their details on the open forum.

Hi Sheila, A bit more information would be good as Doug has suggested.
searching for people in Australia after 1920 gets a bit difficult because of the privacy laws here.
