Default British Dental Journal - archive

Hi - wondering if anyone knows how or where I can access an archive of the British Dental Journal? I can't find it on line (unlike the BMJ).

Does anyone know if they routinely published obituaries in this publication? I am hoping to find something about Arthur Stanley Carter MRCS, LDS, LRCP who died 02 Sep 1968.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Have you contacted the British Dental Association? It is the professional association and trade union for dentists in the United Kingdom and was founded in 1880. As it looks from his qualifications that your chap would have been registered with them, they may be able to provide more information about him. (bda.org/ - put http://www. in front)

Meanwhile, an email to the British Dental Journal may answer your question about obituaries. (nature.com/bdj/contact/index.html)

The General Dental Council is the regulatory body. The Dentists Register is the equivalent of the Medical Register. The Society of Genealogists library has a large collection of copies.

Thanks, everyone, for your useful suggestions. It looks like the BDA Museum offer a research service, so I will pursue my queries with them.

Again, thanks - you are all so kind.
