Very good - I've just found out the ship's Port of Registry - Southampton, 1889. And Official No was 119697. It's frustrating to see the document online for Arrival in NSW on 15 June 1911 with the crew and passengers listed but only the passengers listed in the document online leaving London.

Hi,
Are you aware you can search online for NSW BMD indexes and purchase the certificates here:

Is there a website that lists all the Registration Districts for Sydney and surround?
There is a candidate for my GGF Jones who died in 1945, Liverpool
I'd like to check the bdm.nsw.gov.au site for marriages without limiting the search to Sydney, as doing this on the deaths doesn't catch him in Liverpool ( a suburb or part of Sydney ? I think)

From a transcript of the NSW GRO I have my GGF's death certificate finally.
He lived in Darlinghurst, as a hairdresser, and died in 1945 having been in NSW for 33 years. I will next try to trace him in that
neighbourhood. I'd welcome any advice on Street and Trade Directories. I have tried the Sand's on Ancestry but he's no there.
Are theree any websites that contain viewable transcribed or actual pages ?
