    Benjamin GRAINGER c. 30 Dec 1798 Weston Colville son of Joseph and Mary

    Is that a Mary TALVER or TARVER?


    married unknown Mary A ? 22 Nov 1822 ??

    A daughter Eliza c. 6 Nov 1831 Weston Colville d. 1896 Tumut, NSW, Aust.

    I'm still searching for Eliza in Shipping records.

    Looking to fill some of the gaps. Thanks.

    Boyd's marriage Index has Mary TARVER. Marriage in 1785 to Joseph (Jos) GRAINGER at Weston Colville.

    You would need to view the original marriage entry as written in the register to decide on her surname.

    Cambridgeshire FHS Marriage Index also has Joseph GRAINGER & Mary TARVER at Weston Colville in 1785 by Banns.

    Benjamin Farm labourer Cambridge Methodist Read
    Mary A Wife Suffolk Methodist No
    Eliza Cook Cambridge Methodist Both

    A daughter, Ann, ended up in Australia as well as a niece of Ann's - Eliza daughter of Benjamin & Mary A.

    Hi, Eliza Gra(i)nger is listed on the "Beejapore" She arrived with father Benjamin & family 1857 NSW Surname spelt without the i on shipping records. I am descended from her older brother, George who migrated to Kangaroo Is, South Australia in 1856 on the "Aurora" with his second wife, Harriet (nee Woolard) & younger brother James.
