    Her birth ...

    Births Dec 1911 W.Bromwich 6b 1541
    Winter Violet S I Saunders

    Perhaps this is Violet's marriage

    Marriage Dec 1936 Fulham 1a 831
    Dean John J Winter
    WINTER Sylvia E Dean
    WINTER Violet S E Dean

Perhaps the initial E is meant for Eileen rather than Irene

There is also this death record ..

    Death Aug 1992 Fulham 12 650
    Violet Sylvia E Dean
    Birth: 22 Sep 1911

NOTE: looks like John Joseph Dean died in 1977.

Looking at the 1911 census, do you mean Thomas Winter born 1909?

    1911 Census: RG14PN17288 RG78PN1061 RD371 SD3 ED6 SN367

    Can find this birth ...

    Births Sep 1909 W.Bromwich 6b 848
    WINTER Thomas

Haven't found a matching death record as yet though. Which area was Thomas Winter Senior located in after 1911 and WW1, did he remain in the Staffordshire area?

Right, this is rather a wild guess but did Edith have a sister called Charlotte Beatrice Saunders?
If so there is this possible marriage ...

    Marriages Dec 1901 W.Bromwich 6b 1517
    Benbow James
    Davies Elizabeth
    Evans William
    Saunders Charlotte Beatrice

Possibly in the 1911 census in West Bromwich here ...

Olliecat has given you a good start which you can now take further to trace possible descendents down towards the present day. However, please do note that we cannot include details of likely children of the siblings you mention on open forum. We do have a policy of not posting details of people who may still be living, which is strictly enforced.

However as general guidance, once you have obtained likely marriage certificates for these siblings, you can search the GRO index of births for children, using the fact that the mother's maiden name is included in the index. You may then be able to identify possible matches for births from those marriages and so on. You can use this to get fairly close to the present day.

Wills are another useful tool in tracking descendents to the present day - as these can mention children and grandchildren. As you get closer to the present day, telephone directories available on pay-per-view sites may provide addresses.

But as previously mentioned specific details of people who may be alive should not be included on these forums.

    Good luck
