I'd like to obtain a will of essentially a Gr-Gr-Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather called Thomas Ratton (if available). I have a photograph showing his monumental inscription from Saint Peter's church yard, Scotter in Lincolnshire, unfortunately the inscription has been ammended or corrected at some point and the date of death is indeterminate. From the inscription however, the date could be several combinations; July or April, 20th or 29th, 1820 or 1829 (I suspect 1829, backed by another source).
Can anyone help by refering to the Lincolnshire probate calendars with respect to Thomas Ratton (Raton or Ratan)?
I tried uploading the photograph but without success??
Regards,
Eviand

Burial (as opposed to death) date in the PR is indexed as 22 July 1829.
For a copy of Thomas's will you need to contact Lincolnshire Archives http://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/residents/archives/ and quote
Thomas RATAN (sic), Scotterthorpe, Scotter. Stow Wills 1828-1830/137
