Difficult from your location, but did he leave a will in which he mentions any relatives?

Does he appear in a telephone directory? (I understand some are available on the pay-per-view site 'ancestry'). Perhaps someone with the same surname appears at the address after 1964 and may be related?

When might he have remarried (when did he divorce, or when was he widowed?). Searching the GRO index for marriages of Sidney A FULCHER shows a few hits, a possibility might be an entry in Sep 1946 in Poplar (you can view this on pay-per-view sites and also freebmd).

Did your chap serve in any armed force in WW2? - If a descendednt could get his service record it may reveal some information on next of kin.

The wording "if he ever remarried" suggests that you know of a first marriage and also know of the death of this wife. Is that so? When did she die? That date will help you to search for a possible second marriage.

He was Married to Beryl Olive C Sortwell in 1939 in Epping, she died in1993 in Brentwood Essex aged 82 she never remarried but dont know about Syd Fulcher. I dont think they were ever Divorced.

The information I gleaned was from a previous posting for Ernest Sydney Fulcher but as he was always called Sydney or just Syd thought it might jogg some memories. sorry if I have confused matters

No problem, you've got a few lines of enquiry that you might try following. Your chap's death certificate might be useful in either the location where he died (same place as his wife several years later possibly?) or the informant at death.
