Leicester Mercury

Can someone please give me the website address for the Leicester Mercury,ive been going around in circles for the last hour trying to find it, I keep ending up on a site called this is leicestershire,I cant understand why the Mercury site is so hard to find.

'this is Leicestershire' is the website for the Mercury. Quite a few of the regional/local newspapers are now using the 'this is .....' banner on t'internet. The Derby Telegraph is now found under 'this is Derbyshire' for example. Very confusing when one knows there are other papers in the area.

Thanks Ali, I wanted to look at the Mercury Classifieds,the umpteenth time I ended up on the''this is Leicestershire" website I had trouble finding the classifieds,the only link I could find assumed I wanted to place an add, Will keep trying.

By classifieds, do you mean the BMD lsitings? They are under Announcements found in the middle of the black bar at the top of the home page. Ads appear to be under Services (below the this is Leicestershire logo) or on the right hand side under the other logos. Alternatively, scroll right down to the bottom and there is an I Want To list that may be of use.

It's a messy layout online. There's nowt like the actual newspaper in your hand. After reading the rag one can do so many other things with it!

I finaly found the classifieds,and used the search but im not too sure if I was searching just the Mercury,Im not very keen on the site, The original Mercury site was much better, so where is the best place online now for news etc just from Leicester.

I agree with you Nightryder. The paper itself does a better job but for from where you are maybe you could start with the BBC Leicester site which also has links to local papers.
