    I have STANWAYs in my family. John STANWAY b1861 Bromley Green married Selina Hartland. His father, another John b 1826 Bromley Green, then Thomas STANWAY b about 1790 Wolstanton. Any links?

    I have an Edward TAYLOR who married an Elizabeth Hulme in Wolstanton in 1847.

    The STANWAY's I have are as follows:
    William b 1840 Cheshire, Wife Elizabeth Malkin 1841 Staffordshire
    children: Mary Jane c 1866, Hannah Maria 1868, Matilda Eliza 1870, James William 1873, John c 1877, Betsy Ellen 1877, Arthur c 1880, Frederick c 1884.
    1871 census: living in Wedgewood, Staff
    1881~1901: living in Biddulph, Staff

    Hi Puddler,
    I don't have a Edward Taylor in my tree, but that does not rule out that there could be a possibilty of a link somewhere. There were may TAYLOR's in the Wolstanton area. I also looked for a connection here http://nt.net/whogan/tree/sherratt.htm
    but with no luck.

    I have an Alfred James DAVIS b 7th April 1863 Parents James & Sarah. On the 1881 census he is living at 13 Melville St, Stoke Upon Trent, occupation Wheelwright.
