    Does any one know where to find the List of people who Attested to this Barracks in 1853, namely a Thomas O'Meara

    I have no idea, but if you Google Crinkle Barracks 1853, several site come up one of which offers

    If nothing else it has two good photos of the Barracks no. 165
    More may be offered if you were to read all of the sites.


    Google:..If you type in Crinkle Barracks Attestations, you may get more. I didn't check them out.

    Thanks, I down loaded the photos. Thomas O'Meara married Elizabeth Lynch before 1854, possibly in Birr and they had a child Eliza Mary O'Meara, born 1854 either born at Crinckle or Chatham Barracks. Eliza Lynch was from Tullamore.

    Thomas O'Meara Attested at Mitchelstown in the County of kings on the 11th Sept 1852 to the 18th Regiment.
