    Default Early Census info

Is any original documentation kept on record of original entries on early census, pre 1841, or is it just statistical data obtained that has been kept?
    Thank you

Details of surviving pre-1841 censuses can be found in this very large pdf file.

The listings for each census indicates whether the data includes names of individuals or heads of households, or if it is purely statistical.

Early censuses are mostly held in county record offices, but it may be worth checking whether the local FHS has issued any indexes or transcripts for the area of your interest.
