i have just found that I have a stonemason ancestor, are there any books/websites/information on the subject? this ancestor was a stonemason about 1851-1861.

the Genuki site :http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/Occupations.html select stonemasons, it has info froom the warwick University Library Modern records Centre & include some obituaries.
A Google will probably find some books on the subject, Parish Chest may oblige.Happy Families

I actually know a modern day stonemason, yes they do still exist, when I next see him I will ask him for you.
