    Hi Valg,

You are probably right about the burial. Just wondered if the '2' has been mistranscribed as a '4'.

She maybe buried with her son William who may have died in 1899. i have just found on A* in their Military Campaign Medal and Award Rolls 1793-1949: William Burke awarded the Burma 1887-1889 Clasp. He was a Band Sergeant, Regimental No:2/22 2531. He was serving with the 2nd Cheshire. Also there is a Thomas Burke so these are probably the two sons of Thomas and Bridget.

The name change is definitely strange.

    Regards Karen

Now if the family moved to Chorlton prior to Williams death, there is a death for William Burke aged 41 dies Manchester March 1900, age fits well and there is a burial that seems to fit this one at Phillips Park Roman Catholic - I165 - but without credits cant be sure of the age of the deceased, bad news it appears to be a public grave,
Because William is on the 1891 census a death after 5 April 1891 is what we are looking at, so searching Lancs deaths May 1891-1901 best fit is the one above, found no deaths for a William V Burke.
There are 3 Bridget Burkes buries Phillips Park between 1901 and 1911 all in the Roman Catholic section.Once again all appear to be public graves.
