    Default The lancet

As a baby I was ill and was in The Duchess of York hospital,Manchester. My mother told me about my illness and said it had been written about in the Lancet! Never thought much about it until now and as my mother is no longer with us I asked another relative who confirms this! I have had a look at the archives for the Lancet but don't know where to start! Any help and advice on this would be a great help.
Although the archives are on line I was wondering if I should contact them direct?

I would simply contact them and ask!

If they can't help, then I would suggest you contact the library of the Wellcome Institute. You will find their web site at library.wellcome.ac.uk/ where there is an on-line catalogue, and also a contact e-mail address for the library.

    Good luck
    Ann

To defray expenses, perhaps you have access to the University Library or know someone who can get you in?

I'm a medical librarian - if you'd like to PM me with details of the the condition you were suffering from and the relevant year, I should be able to help.
