act called "Lady Mansel and the Juveniles

Hi, I am looking for any information on an act called "Lady Mansel and the Juveniles (sorry for the spelling). I have found a flyer for them preforming in Lancshire but it doesnt till me anything. It was around the 1910-12 time but again I dont have a lot of information.
I am pretty sure that the Juveniles were my great grandmother Maria Horton and her sister Lily Horton.
I look forward to any help please as I am at my wits end.

No further information but the V&A museum has a Silk programme dated December 1907 for the opening night of The Grand Theatre of Varieties, Birmingham, 1907
The programme features C. Hayden Coffin, Frank Sylvo, LittleGanty, Campbell & Barber, Florence St. John, The So & Sos, Lady Mansel's Juveniles, and others

Hi Lesley,
Thank you for the information on Lady Mansel. I have had a look at the museum website. It is a great start.
I would be fantastic if the two talented little girls were my relations. I have a couple of photo of Maria and Lily in costume but they are young ladies in theses photos. I dont know how old they were when they started acting. The whole family were in the theatre. Their father was a Prof of Music and conducted music and their mother had something to do with costumes.
I will have a look at the book as well.

The book is on sale at Amazon, but hopefully your local library might be able to source a copy with any luck.

Hi Lesley,
It has been a bit of a challange with the family because it has been very hard to find any record of them. I started researching back in 1993 and there wasnt anything around at that time about the theatre. I have been trying to find Marie and Lily's brother Harry Horton who was a professional violinst (that is what it had on the 1911 censues) also.

There is a refererence to a photograph of a Percy Horton playing the violin, and then another of a letter from Harry to Percy Horton from the trenches. Also references to stage courses lower down.

Hi Sue,
Thank you for the link but I dont think it is my family of Hortons. My Hortons come from Yorkshire and moved to Lancshire and Durham. Percy was a carpenter by trade and work at theatre on one of the censuses but i never heard him going to Sussex. I dont think Percy was a violinst either.
Thanks for the link though. I am going to have a further look just in case you never know do you. I have been caught out before.
