    Default Advice please

More than likely a stupid question and Probably one I’ve answered myself many times but…..

I have a couple who married in 1910. Between 1910 and 1919 they had 4 children. The first child born 1910 died at 4 months old.

Is there any way at all I can find out who or if these children (minus the one that died of course) married? Or do I have to trawl through parish register after parish register in the whole of the UK until I find a likely couple or is there a simpler way?

Yours Anonymous (well, I'm not puttin my name to this one )

Stupid question, well stupid Neil answering

    Well Anonymous,

Assuming you have the names, I would start at 1930 working to 1950 for their marriages. There are a number of sites where you can search marriages. Then pick out the ones you think are yours and (personally), trawl that Parish Register to find the marriage details before sending off for the certificate.

Easy isn't it. Now you will also get another dozen ways to solve your question.

    Take care
