I have an ancestor Betsey or Betsy Crockatt I can't find a birth record for. Her siblings were all born in Egssie, Angus and it is quite likely she was too. Which registration district did Egssie come under at the time?

1850. Or has the transcriber made a spelling mistake and should it be Eassie, angus instead?

Yes! think it should read Eassie...it 's apparently between Forfar /Alyth,or around about that area .
