Looking for information on a Stewart (Steward, Stuart, Steuart) McComb (McCombe) born around 1804 possibly in Castlewellan, County Down. There may also be an Edward (middle name? brother? father?) connection, as one later census record gives his name as Edward.
I have his information from England, where he moved with his family around the time of the potato famine, but am really looking for birth and/or marriage information from Ireland. He married Sarah (maiden name not known) probably before the birth of their first child Jane about 1829. Their daughter Mary Ann wasn't born until about 1834, and after Mary Ann they had William, Sarah, and James at somewhat regular intervals (July 1836, Dec 1837 or May 1840, around 1844). All children were born in Ireland as well from the information I have, though I've no idea where in County Down they occurred - it's possible they were also from Castlewellan.
Can anyone help nail this down for me?? THANK YOU!

I can only suggest that you spend some time playing in
www.
rootsireland.ie/
Most of your names with approximate dates come up in Co. Antrim.
It is free to search but you must pay to view the full record. It takes a bit of imagination and a pen and paper to cross reference all the possibilities.

Nope - no luck there. Anyone have access to Castlewellan records?
