Can anyone help?
Does anyone have any info on the Humphrey family. All I have is a Thomas Humphrey (a soldier) and a Shoemaker married to an Emma Bone.

If this is in the period of civil registration, do you have a marriage certificate for them?

Hi Geoffers
Apologies for not replying earlier had a few problems - OK now
Made a small mistake Emma Bone married an Edward Humphrey, Jan 12th 1873 in the parish church Aldershot. Father was a Thomas Humphrey (cannot read his profession).
Edwards age given as 28 Emma given as 17.
Only other info I have is an 1881 census (RG11/0782/14/22 for Aldershot) showing Edward age 44, shoemaker from S Hayford.
Can't find Edward on any other census.

PS Tried to attach copy of marriage cert but keeps asking for the url

There is an army service record on findmypast for an Edward Humphrey that may match the Edward in the 1881 census.
A gunner in the Royal Artillery.
Signed up at the age of 20 on 13 Mar 1856.
Parish of birth Nether Heyford, Northampton.
Originally a farm labourer.
Discharged in 24 Apr 1877, age 41.
Trade on discharge a shoemaker.
Discharge residence: Lower Heyford.

This looks as if it could be a possibility for your family in the 1841 census of Nether Heyford:
HO107/806/15, folio 14, page 22
Thomas HUMPHREY 30 Ag Lab
Eliza do 25
Susanna do 7
Edwin do 5
Alfred do 4
Caroline do 8 months
All born in the county.
Age and place of birth fits and he is the only Edward/Edwin HUMPHREY or variants with a father Thomas.
If this is the correct family, Thomas and Eliza are still in Nether Heyford in the 1851 census (minus Edwin/Edward whom I can't find) with the addition of children Lydia, Sarah A, William & Dinah. Thomas and Eliza both shown as born Heyford, he being 41, she 38. The family are in Lower Heyford in the 1861 census where Eliza's birthplace is shown as Flore and the addition of another daughter Elizabeth.
There is a marriage on the Northamptonshire Marriage Index at Heyford on 13 October 1833 of a Thomas HUMPHREY, of the parish, bachelor & Eliza STEVENSON, of the parish, spinster. All the baptisms of the children of Thomas & Eliza are shown on FreeReg.
There is a birth/baptism on Family Search Pilot on 15 Sep 1812/24 Jan 1813 at Weedeon & Flore Independent for an Eliza STEVENSON, parents Matthew & Sarah which may be relevant.
There is also a member submitted record on the IGI of a baptism at Heyford on 10 October 1810 for a Thomas HUMPHREY, parents John HUMPHREY & Anne EDGE/HEDGE. Although this record should be treated with caution, there is some confirmation in that on the Marriage Index is a marriage on 15 May 1791 at Heyford of a John HUMPHRIES, of the parish, bachelor & Anne HEDGE, of the parish, spinster.
Another marriage which could be relevant to you is that of a Matthew STEPHENSON, of the parish, bachelor and a Sarah BOYES, of the parish, spinster on 17 December 1810 at Weedon Bec.
