The tangle I would hope to unravel is all the David Winton's who appeared in Dunning around the same time. I have a David marrying Margaret Henderson 13.12.1772, and half of my researching connections take them as my ancestors. However, I also have a David marrying Anne Grieve 27.10.1765. According to the only information I have David, born June 12, 1737 managed to marry both women. A death date for Anne would allow plenty of time for that David to have had 2 marriages but unfortunately I have not been able to find one. Also research has shown a few Davids around that time.
