    Default PICKWICK

I have been conducting a PICKWICK one name study for about 2 years. I am interested in PICKWICKs worldwide.

I am trying to prove my theory that all PICKWICKs are descendants of a Moses PICKWICK, an orphan found in Wiltshire, England.

I am registered with the GOONS.

Some of my information can be found on a dedicated PICKWICK one name study site

    http://pickwickfamily.org/

I am always happy to hear from fellow PICKWICK researchers and try to help them make progress.

An interesting theory. Is this Moses the one baptised in 1694/5 at Corsham, Wilts?

There's an extracted entry on Family Search which gives the baptism of an Edwarde Pickwinck on 16 Mar 1599

Yes that is the Moses. I am still busy sorting out the many Pickwicks in Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire but so far they appear to be descendants of Moses, the orphan. They all used the same names, Moses, Eleazer so even if I can't prove it I know they are connected.

The work and research goes on :-)

I will look into the Edwarde Pickwinck, thanks for telling me about him.
