    Default Our Clapham Forefathers

    Hi
I'm trying to find further information re an ancestor buried, in 1777 in Clapham Churchyard, Parish of Clapham. From what I can find out, I believe it was the Holy Trinity Church, later known as St Paul's Churchyard.
From what I've read, the gravestones were cleared from St Paul's churchyard but a record of gravestones and inscriptions was kept and published in a local booklet "Our Clapham Forefathers" in the 1920's.

I'm wondering if anyone would have access to this to do a look up for me? I'm interested in the Hake family.
    cheers,
    Karen

I don't have access tp this book, but they may hold a copy in Lambeth Archives, housed in the Minet Library. They have a website at lambeth.gov.uk/Services/LeisureCulture/LocalHistory/Archives.htm (just put www in front). I have always found them very helpful, so if I were you I would ask thm if they can help.

    Best wishes
    Ann

Thanks Ann... I am looking at the website now. Does not appear they have the publication for sale unfortunately; it is available in the Lambeth Library, oh to be a bit closer! I will try an email and see if they have any suggestions,
    cheers, Karen
