please could anybody help and check two entries from sherborne parish records trying to confirm banns read oct 12 1788 between peter swindells and mary martin cant find marriage witness john simmonds snr and ann pearce need to try and find where peter came from suspect macclesfield, also christening of mottershead swindle 11 nov 1789 parents peter and mary, on dorset opc reported as swindle child of peter and mary mottershead. please help this family is driving me up the wall many thanks suz.

Family search has christening with the same date : Mottershead Swindle, Father Peter, Mother Mary .Looking for marriage.

Have you tried contacting the Sherborne online parish clerk in person? She transcribed the records herself, and she may have access to the original registers at the Dorset History Centre. Her contact details are on the webpage. Click here.

Where it says, "The Online Parish Clerk (OPC) for Sherborne is Sheila Carr", click on her name.

I believe this relates to your own email set-up, not the recipient's. Open your email program and copy/paste Sheila's address into the To box (changing DOT to . and AT to @).
