    Default "Sad News" Yeah, right

Just received an e-mail from someone calling themselves Paul Davey and titled Sad News. Apparently he hadn't told me that he was going to London, but he had gone, been robbed, had no money, no 'phone, hotel had no 'phone, so would I mind sending him £1000 to help out, he'd repay me on his return. Even gave me an address on the Mile End Road. Like

I hope you sent the money straight away And by the way, I forgot to pay my electric bill, my kids are starving and the new Bentley has to go to the garage. Please send 2 grand to me and Paul will pay you back we he comes home from London.

The fibbing devil - Paul Davey lives just down the road from me!

Perhaps if "Paul" pops into the local Police Station, they would oblige him with a nice comfy bed (well, more of a hard bed with a big metal door to his room!)

it must have been a short round trip. Isn't Mile End Road already in London.

My heart goes out to the poor little chap.
£1000? How is he intending to return home - by private jet or something?
