    Default Where are they ???????

Can anyone see if they can find this person for me ,this family tree has only just been started so I have very little info to go on .Despite putting in all variations of spellings this family are not showing up .

Elsie May Bosson born in Stoke on Trent on 17th April 1907 ,no fathers name on birth certifcate but mother was Elizabeth Bosson .I can't pick either of them up in the 1911 census ,no matter how I try .Elsie was born at Lincoln St Hanley ,but a different family are there in 1911 .

    Thank you for looking .

Thanks for looking ,yes that family jumps out at me too ,I suppose the next move is to find a birth for Elsie's mother -Elizabeth ,it doesn't look as though she married as I've found another child born to her in 1913 ,still using her surname as Bosson .

    Thanks again

How old was Elizabeth in 1911 or 1901?

There are two possible births registered in Stoke T district (assuming that is where she came from) -

Sept quarter 1878 vol 6b page 197 Elizabeth Beatrice Bosson
    or
Dec quarter 1884 vol 6b page 279 Elizabeth Sandiland Bosson

There are a number of other Elizabeths, but you don't mention any age or places of birth, so I have just "guesstimated"

Thanks Mark ,if it's the right family in 1911 Elizabeth (the mother ) is 33 date of birth given as 1878 born Hanley Staffs .As I've said this family tree has only just been started and I have very limited info . It looks as though the 1st birth index you have found matches the info from the 1911 census ,by the way I haven't yet found them in 1901 so I still have more searching to do .

I think you might find that in 1901 they are down as BOSSONS, all b. Hanley:

William Bossons 44 Gas Works Labourer
    Annie Bossons 43
    Lizzie 22 Potters Tile Maker
    Frank 17 Potters Placer
    Lilly 8
    Bertie 7

    10, Gill Street, Hanley
    RG13; 2607; 35; 27.

By the way, Elizabeth's brother William married Constance Knowles early in 1901, and by the time of the census that year they are living with the in-laws, Matthew and Alice Knowles, under the transcribed name of BOSTON. Just another variation!

I was wondering if some of the grandchildren in 1911 might be theirs, and found that Constance died in 1906, as did a baby Constance Bosson (0), who surely must have been their daughter. I would have thought that at least the two younger children would be William's.

Thanks Thomasin ,that's got to be them in 1901 ! A bit more meat to get working on now !! Yes I did wonder myself if some of the grandchildren belonged to William .

Thanks again for taking the time to look .
