    Default 1841-1851 census look-up please

I’m going around in circles with this family.

    ‘JONES’ says it all really.

I have a Robert Jones born anywhere from 1839-44 in Ludlow according to the 1881 and 1891 census, I tend to think it’s 1839). He has a sister Mary Ann(e) born 1832-36 also in Ludlow, there again I think it’s 1837.

I have a marriage for Mary ann to James Collier (my grt grt grandfather) in 1856

    FreeBMD

    Marriages Jun 1856
    COLLIER James Ludlow 6a 932
JONES Mary Ann Ludlow 6a 932

On the IGI there is an entry for this pair and it gives the name of Mary Ann(e)’s father.

    Bride's Father's Name: Samuel Jones

I’m trying to see if there were anymore children and Find the mother of Robert and Mary Ann(e). There are a lot of Jones’s marring Jones’s in this family.

    Help Pleeeeease

Is this because of this birth registration:

December quarter 1839, Ludlow district, volume 18, page 73, Robert JONES. 'Tis the only Robert JONES recorded on FreeBMD as having his birth registered in Ludlow between 1839 and 1844.

Worth ordering the certificate to find out?

Yeah thats why I thought he may have been born in 1839 but one census has him born 1841 and the other has him born 1844 so could be anytime around there. I can have a look at the original register when I visit the archives but if I had a census with them on it would give me some idea of where to look. But I wont be visiting the archives for a couple of weeks.

There are several births on IGI to Samuel and Ann but I wasn't sure if it was them, maybe it is.

At least it's a start in the right direction. Now I have something to go on when I visit the archives

    Thank you very much

Thank you all for your help, You've been very generous with your time.
