i have a alfred sparrow born in about 1880ish said to be born in london to a george sparrow a wine mechant in london
we have alfred in 1909 when he married a margaret laybourne parker in durham ?(blaydon on tyne )
he is in the 1911 census with a daughter elizabeth she died in a year they went on to have 6 more children
here is my problem
on his marrage cert he is a ships stawerd born london
he died in 1942/3 at 63
we can not fined any info on him before 1909 in northeast or in london

His service papers on Ancestry.com don't give any details of his parentage, as he is married by that time. His Reg # is 32144 and on one document, he states that he was born in the year 1874.
