Hi Pam.
All i found on 1901 Census was the lodger i am affraid , as mentioned before all i found was Violet 1912 when mothers maiden name is listed ,
I dont have anybody to ask as none of my mothers side of the family new they had some family who emigrated to London..
Mystery ..

Seems strange that in those days they were married so long before they had children!Is the marriage date definately confirmed?

Hi Pam.
You are right , normally the reason for marriage it seems ,there isnt any on 1901 and the mothers surname doesnt show up much before 1912 does it , I found the marriage on Ancestry and double checked with free bmd . Its down as Jul/Aug/Sep 1899 West Ham...
As far as ive found out Abraham's dad Abraham died 1891 and his wife remarried , the older children married and moved on some of the younger like Abraham moved to East Ham and lived with there elder brother for a while , one of them ended up in the Gayton Union Workhouse ..
Will have to turn of now been on here all day ,, i will get into trouble and become homeless meself...
