Hi
I am trying to find a James TUSON (c.1823) living in Hyde
He married a Charlotte BRYAN in 1844 (I have a copy of the Register entry from Local Studies Ashton-under-Lyne)
I have found (potential) death records on Cheshire BMD for Charlotte (1853) and James (1864 - age 29)
I can find (on findmypast) James in the 1841 census but not on the 1851 or 1861. I've tried all the usual transcription possibilities without success.
Could someone have a look at Ancestry's census for me please?
Thanks
David

Hi Keyboard86
Thanks very much for the speedy replies - another surname option to add to my list to try in future.
You've also confirmed a suspicion that I had worked out from the Cheshire BMDs ---- that he remarried to Esther Bowker (who incidentally remarried after James' death (according to the BMD listing))
The fact that James was born in Blackburn confirms yet another suspicion - that of his parents marriage in Blackburn which I had noticed in the Lancashire OPC listings.
Perhaps we should move this to "SUCCESS STORIES" ?1?
Thanks again
David

I hadn't noticed the Bowkers - having looked at the image there is a potential for me to be sidetracked again (see my post in General) -- (must resist the temptation though and concentrate on immediate family).
I sent an email to FMP advising of the transcription errors - got a reply this morning informing me that any transcription errors have to made from the "Report transcriptionerror' error on the Image page. So I reaccessed the images and reported the errors - let's hope they act on them.
Help much appreciated
David

Hi David:
re James Tuson
I am descended from the Brian side - Charlotte Brian's father, Isaac, is my 2nd g grandfather - so this post is of interest as it provided me with more Tusons. Which Tuson is your ancestor? If you are on GenesReunited you can see my tree, if not I will be happy to provide more info if you are interested.
