And especially since his sister Clara Emily Levick marries John Chester Porter and one of their two sons is son named Ernest Chester Porter.

An interesting observation. I hadn't considered before the origins of the names for John Chester Porter & Clara Emily Levick's children.
Percival John Porter b. 1885 could have been after Clara's brother Percival who died in 1872 & John Chester Porter - or John Chester's Uncle John Porter b. 1819- there are plenty of John's in the Porter line.
Ernest Chester Porter could be after John Chester's mother Hannah Chester from whom he got the middle name Chester & Clara's brother Harry E. Levick.
Robert Levick's parents were James Levick & Hannah [something]. Mary Levick nee Jones' parents were Edwin Jones & Mary Jones nee Crinage. Not an Ernest anywhere that I have found. By rights, John Chester Porter & Clara Emily Levick should have named their sons something like - Isaac or Robert after their grandfathers, or James & Moses after their GrGrandfathers.
Maybe they intended to, but John Chester Porter died in 1895 at the age of 40 - when the children were aged about 10 & 7 years old.

Darn! It doesn't work.
Harry Ernest Levick appears to die in the same year as his birth:
Death Registration:
Name: Harry Ernest Levick
Year: 1864
Quarter: Dec
District: Grantham
Volume: 7a
Page: 263
And the Harry Levick (surgeon) that you found on the 1891 census is Henry Driffield Levick, as per this birth registration:
Name: Henry Albert Driffield Levick
Year: 1862
Quarter: Mar
District: Grantham
Volume: 7a
Page: 417
found on the 1901 census at RG13; Piece: 4579; Folio: 149; Page: 40, now married, still a surgeon.....Adele

It bothers me that there are 2 entries.
BIRTH Jun 1864 Harry Ernest Levick Grantham 7a 421
followed immediately by
DEATH Dec 1864 Harry Ernest Levick Grantham 7a 263
Too early for the death entry to have an age, but usually it makes me think that the child has died when they are in close proximity like that.
Seems we thought alike & posted at the same time

Thanks for this info. I hadn't found that yet., but shouldn't she have been named Ethel Elizabeth Levick - not Newham?? Oh I get it - her name was Ethel Elizabeth Newham Levick - that was why her GRO birth entry showed Ethel Elizabeth N. Levick.

BTW - where did you find that information?
