Default Ford /orrell catholic convent in liverpool

Mud at the wall really .

Im having great difficulty in tracking down my Gt.Grandmother Annie ( could well be Mary Anne ) Meehan . I have been informed by a family member that she was in a convent in Liverpool ( the Ford convent was mentioned )
    & around 1885-1890 .

I cant find her on the 1891 census ( she would have been 18 then )

Im playing detective really & would like to know if any of you know about this place ??? Or even might have the address ??? Does it still exist ??

Any experts /specialist in this area ?

Any help /pointers is most appreciated

    Hi,
The Convent of the Good shepherd started life in Everton in the 1860's and moved to Orrell and Ford in Litherland about 1885. If you Google Covent of the Good Shepherd Litherland there are several sites where you may pick up some history on the place.

Thank you Emeltee , really appreciate this .
I visited Liverpool Records office this morning but they didnt have any records there ,which I find a little strange as on one of the pages I seen on google ,it actuallys list LRO holding information.
The only information I could find was in a book in the local history section about the convent moving from 28 Masons St ( Netherfield rd area ) around 1861 . The book is titled " A prominent place " by John Davies .

the convent you are looking for was demolished in the early 80's it was situated on sterix lane litherland .
