Default CRICK/IZZARD of St. Albans, Hertfordshire

And another postcard I would like to reunite to family!

Appears to be a wartime postcard of France, dated 20th March 1917, though not stamped or franked. Sent to Miss D CRICK, 12 Clifton Street, St. Albans Herts.

A quick check of 1911 census (copyright TNA) shows a Crick family at 12 Clifton Street:

James CRICK . a coach painter b. 1872-1873 Watford, Herts
Alice Louisa M. CRICK . 1873-1874 Shorncliffe, Kent
Dorothy CRICK b. 1897-1898 St. Albans, Herts
Florence CRICK . 1904-1905 St. Alans, Herts
James CRICK, . 1910 St. Albans, Herts

James Thomas T. CRICK married Alice Louisa M. IZZARD Sep Q. 1896 St. Albans

If you are related to this family, please PM me! I'd be glad to pass on the postcard to a relative if the family.

    Hello Michelle,

By 1956 the Cricks were no longer living there; according to the Kelly's directory of the time, it was a Cecil Hart.

However, the Cricks have been long established in St Albans and, by the 1950s/60s, one branch was living in the New Greens area of St Albans. (I went to primary school with one of the boys) According to the local telephone directory, there are still a couple of Crick families in St Albans.
