Someone found a Bridget Furney widow hemp spinner living at 12 springfield rd/Ct West Derby with the following family
    John Son aged 22 BOOT/SHOEMAKER
    Martha aged 19 Hemp spinner
    Mary aged 16 Hemp spinner
    Samuel aged 5 sholar

So now i know that John was still single in 1881 and that he was allready a shoemaker....so is there anyway I could find out more information knowing this much finally?

    thanks
If Bridget is a Widow on the 1871, who is the father of Sam?
    Can you find a birth?

Theres a site you can google called Liverpool History projects. It has indexes to Liverpool RC Marriages 1837-1900 and baptisms for 1888-1890 so far.For 3 pounds you can get both a transcript and an image of the register entry within 24 hours emailed to you. I've used it myself and it is really good.

Index shows a marriage for Michael Tierney and Bridget Fitzpatrick in 1859 at St Oswalds which is in Old Swan.

Sometimes images also have the witnesses addresses.

    John Tierney b 1858 +/-2 gets nothing on A****** for 1861

The same on Genes R******* gets two results in West Derby

Tierney John Lawrence 1860 Liverpool West Derby, Toxteth Park
Tierney John 1857 Liverpool West Derby, Toxteth Park

These are just the indexes and I do not have a subscription for GR. Can anyone look them up for us.

This looks fairly key as they are a number of Michael Tierney deaths 1861-71 and that would explain the break up of the family in 1871

Is this referring to the Liverpool History Projects site?

Did you hit the REQUEST FORM button and then fill in the form using the exact details that are on the index including the ref which is the year and the number after the year?
You then hit the submit button

You should then get a message from the site owner ,Marie, asking about payment. May take a few hours
