Joc_42 - What makes you think they divorced? Then again the couple may have divorced and neither one may have remarried.
There is no stopping a woman from getting married after a divorce, using her maiden or her married name. I have an aunt that divorced after 1940 - no records but she remarried and is recorded under both her maiden name and married surname. Her maiden name was indexed wrong so I found the remarriage using the new hubby's details. Is the person you are researching still living? If you know the exact birthdates of the persons involved you might be able to find a death registration on one of the ppv sites, if they have died. Do you have the original marriage or birth certificate so you know what names to look for?Sadly, our friend Vanessa, passed away 29th. February 2012.
