    Default Thornton Family

(I'm French so, excuse me for my spelling mistakes).
I would know if someone can search for me informations about Tyrrel Thornton (June 9th 1806- January 27th 1857). He is maybe born in Thornville Royal (parish of Allerton Mauleverer-Yorkshire). You can search in acts of baptem, wedding... Perhaps you can also find something on tombs or memorials??? I think his father was the Colonel Thomas Thornton (1747-1823) and his mother is either Eliza Cawston of l'Essex or Pamela Duins. (Thomas had one daughter with Pamela called Diana (1801-March 13rd 1884) and a son with Eliza: William (1807-?)). So maybe Tyrrel is their brother.
He's got married with Rosetta-Jane Cary of Londonderry.
    With my thanks.

This probably isn't much help, other than to suggest Tyrrel was not the son of this Colonel Thornton. There were several newspaper reports regarding the will of Colonel Thornton which was contested by his wife Elizabeth Thornton, mother of William Thomas Thornton. The Colonel left almost everything to Diana, his illegitimate daughter by Priscilla Duins. There is no mention of any other son.

Please could you say where your information comes from?

If Tyrell died 1857 in England he should be on the 1841 census, I cannot see him.

I cannot see him on the IGI (Familysearch) Mormon Site.

When and where did he marry Rossetta?

Can you find more precisions about this Rosetta Jane Murray? And can you also find other things about this Tyrrel Thornton? And Cary name is it mentionned somewhere? Can you tell me if you can find the name of Tyrrel’s parents and, if it’s possible, this Tyrrel’s date of bearth (In brief, all that you can know on his subject)?
    Thanks you.

Tyrrel Thornton lived and died in Louisville (Kentucky) but he was born somewhere in England
    (I'm sure of that).

And what do you know about this Rosetta Jane Murray? Because Rosetta Jane Cary (Wife of Tyrrel) was born around 1820 and died in December 23rd 1891.
